Torture Division: Our infernal torture
20/07/13 || Pr0nogo
Well, you should all know who these guys are, since one of them owns this site and the other two are badass enough on their own to make up for not owning a metal site. Torture Division’s methodical and exceptionally-gory approach to death metal makes it nearly impossible not to love everything you hear on one of their demos, and their 2008 release “Our Infernal Torture“ is no different. Straight to the point, this demo opens up to the hymn of one Jörgen Sandström screaming his heart (?) out, while good ol’ Toby Gustafsson beats the shit out of his drum kit and the one and only Lord K Philipson shreds your ears to pieces on his guitar. Knowing K, I’d reckon that he played his axe while mixing part of the demo and strangling your mother with his beard, all at the same time.
I should note that aside from the powerful mid-range notes that J lets loose from his vocal cords, the most epic moment of “Our Infernal Torture“ is without a doubt the tail end of the third and final track, “End This Rotten World”. You hear J’s bass? Yeah, you hear J’s bass. And it’s fuckin’ beautiful. The blistering speed of the blast beats and hat hits only serve to propel this sonic onslaught into high gear, leaving a permanent scar in your brain tissue to remind you of how epic the whole experience was. Hats off to you, gents.
9/10: A truly powerful slab of death metal that leaves you wanting more and more.
After going thru that crap, you most likely wanna read something way more interesting. You do, admit it.
